The built-in, non-removable sharpener hones the blade with every use ensuring a razor-sharp knife for the entire lifespan of your unit. Its stainless steel and anodized aluminum build will hold the unit entirely steady whist you shred and this build will prevent any sort of damage, including dents, scuffs, rust, or grime.
